World History Project, Complete.

I had this big history project I had to do during the week, which typically me, I procrastinated.  Yet, I think a small recap works for these past events.

After waiting for the original request of more information to follow through, nothing seemed to have came in the mail.  Thus, I requested, once again, more information regarding AFS.  This time I was successful.  I sent the request on Tuesday.  I also signed up for a more information webinar on June 1st.  Now, on Wednesday, I received a call from an AFS volunteer, brightening my day.  The volunteer's name was Andrew.

While talking, he told me that I was to receive contact information from him through email.  I specifically need this as to present it to my guidance counselor for her input and well, guidance, on the matter.  Problem is though, it's currently Friday and I have yet to receive that much anticipated email.  (My first irk thus far.)  Hopefully, I will get it by this weekend.  It's June in three days and with barely a month of school left, I doubt my guidance counselor will be happy with little notice.

So while I keep on waiting for contact from him, on Thursday I finally received something I also anticipated.  The AFS information packet!  I enjoyed how it was well put and how it really makes you want to go through with this endeavor.  It even included a brief overview on steps to take.  Something I really needed. 

Sure, it's scary.  But hopefully I'll have enough support to be able to participate.  To aid financially, I tried to apply for a skate guard job at my high school.  The man said to return Tuesday for an application.  Hopefully that goes well and I can start saving up as much as I can.  My next post should have that information.  You might be thinking, you have the summer coming up, summer employment?  I was considering that.  However, I had already made a prior commitment to my studies by planning to return to this educational programme.  Simply said, it's a three-year summer programme where you take university courses at your current grade level.  This year will be my final year and it really does give you an academic advantage over other peers.  In spite of that, it gives me very little of a vacation.

Fortunately, the university has air conditioning.
